10-Minute Astrology Lesson: Combined Relationship Charts

Recently, when I asked readers about the topics that interested them, one of the most popular was relationship astrology. You wanted to know how to determine compatibility between two charts, and my first 10-Minute Astrology podcast episode was on that very subject!

My new episode takes on a couple of other relationship astrology questions I received about Composite Charts. Composite charts – and their less popular but compelling sister, the Davison chart – are charts for the relationship itself, derived from your two birth charts. I explain the difference between them on the podcast… but I wanted to give you the details here about how to calculate these charts at Astro.com.

Composite Charts are based on the midpoints in the zodiac between two sets of planets. I was taught to calculate them using the location where the couple are currently living. Here’s how to do it:

  • Go to Astro.com and select Free Horoscopes > Extended Chart Selection > Chart Type: Composite Chart, ref.place method. Under Default Settings, click Modify Data to change reference place (the location where you’re living together)

The Davison Relationship Chart is based on the midpoint in time and space between two birth charts. Here’s how to find yours:

  • Free Horoscopes > Extended Chart Selection > Chart Type: Davison Relationship Chart, corrected

And now… here’s the episode!
