Don’t Give Up
Dates and times are given for U.S. Pacific Time zone.
Commit
Fresh from their conjunction in Aries, the Sun (March 31, 2:04 pm PDT) and Venus (March 30, 8:47 am) make their union official this week with sextile aspects to Saturn. What you love and value, you’re now invited to make into something lasting. Particularly if you’re a Leo (ruled by the Sun), or a Taurus or Libra (ruled by Venus), check in with a trusted advisor for counsel, instruction, and wisdom. You’re ready to commit to something that will take all your energy, effort, and dedication; go into it well-informed.
Jump the tracks
Mercury joins with Neptune this week (March 29, 2021, 8:24 pm PDT), initiating a new chapter in their ongoing (if very different) quests for clarity. Normally, Mercury feels that truth is found in the mind, in what can be observed with the senses and analyzed with logic. Neptune knows that it’s not as easy as that. As Hamlet said, “There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy (science).”
At this conjunction, Horatio – dressed in Pisces clothing – gives himself over completely to Neptune’s realm of intuition and the invisible. For a couple of days, let your mind wander a bit. Tune in to the static between frequencies. Let your mind jump the tracks of earthly logic and swim in the waters of imagination.
Cold shower
Refreshed from its dip in Neptune’s waters, Mercury makes its final aspect while in Pisces: a sextile to Pluto (April 1, 11:04 pm PDT) – which should feel a bit like going from a warm bubble bath into an icy shower. Pluto always gives us the chance to see what’s really going on, without Neptune’s comforting illusions. The truth can be as bracing as that cold shower – but once we’re fully awake, fully aware, we have a better chance of making good choices, and moving in the direction of authenticity.
Feet-first into the fire
After facing Neptune and Pluto in rapid succession, a deeper, wiser Mercury jumps feet-first into the fires of Aries (April 3, 2021, 8:41 pm PDT). Here, Mercury believes in moving fast, thinking fast, and talking even faster. It’s not that we’ve forgotten the wisdom of Neptune and Pluto; it’s just that, where Aries is concerned, each day is potentially the beginning of a whole new life. Aries is more interested in new challenges and fresh ideas than in soul-searching and reflection.
Enjoy Mercury in Aries (through April 19); it can be an invigorating influence, and a lot of fun. It’s in happy dialogue with Mars (the ruler of Aries) in Gemini (ruled by Mercury), so mind and body are at last in sync and our voices are strong. Relish the inspiration, and the feeling that you want to take on the world.
Don’t Give Up
There is important business to resolve at this Capricorn Last Quarter Moon (April 4, 2021, 3:02 am PDT, at 14°51′ Capricorn). It’s business that has its origins in the January 6, 2019 Solar eclipse and the July 4, 2020 Lunar eclipse, and it directly affects the Aries portion of your chart. (Not sure where that is? This blog post and video might help.)
The Sabian symbol for the Moon is 15 Capricorn, Many toys in the children’s ward of a hospital. The creative, playful spirit in each of us may have been dimmed over the past year of discord, illness, and seclusion. But now, the urge returns to forge a new creative, playful path. The spirit is strong – but we may still be haunted, held back by, or recovering from what was revealed at those eclipses. Still, you made a promise to yourself to reach a cherished goal, and now, at last, you’ve got the vitality of the Sun and sweet Venus in Aries to push you over the finish line. Don’t give up now!
