Episode 212 | Sagittarius New Moon: Borrowed Eyeglasses!

Episode 212 | Sagittarius New Moon: Borrowed Eyeglasses!

This week, a Neptune-tinged Sagittarius New Moon calls for clarifying your own vision instead of borrowing someone else’s glasses. Mercury turns retrograde – don’t panic, just tune into a higher frequency! The Sun, North Node, and Neptune help us figure out who we are and where we’re headed. And April answers a listener question about how to make the most of a transiting configuration that mirrors the same one in your birth chart. Plus: Angels harping, immigrants entering, and grand trines trining!

Join April for a sneak preview of 2024 in her webinar, Getting Ready for 2024! It’s on Dec. 16 at 10 am Pacific time, includes a workbook, and is only $35! Details and registration here!

[1:16] Mercury sextiles Venus on Dec. 11 (11:17 am PST) at 08º17’ Capricorn and Scorpio. Mercury is on Sabian symbol 9 Capricorn, An angel carrying a harp. Venus is on an interesting Sabian Symbol, 9 Scorpio, Dental work. Use this transit’s pleasant communication to solve long-standing problems with loved ones.

[3:32] Moon Report! The Sagittarius New Moon (Dec. 12, 3:32 pm PST) at 20º40’ Sagittarius is on the Sabian symbol 21 Sagittarius, A child and a dog with borrowed eyeglasses. The Sun and Moon are conjunct Mars, square Neptune and trine the Aries North Node. Make sure you are looking through your own eyes, with your own beliefs and convictions. Once you can see exactly where you are, you can figure out how to get where you want to go.

[6:30] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). This New Moon could be an important LPFC for you if you have planets or points close to 20º40’ Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini or Virgo.

[7:40] The First Quarter Moon of this cycle is on Sept. 10, 2024, the Full Moon is on June 22, 2025, and the Last Quarter is on March 11, 2026.

[8:31] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods.  On Dec. 12, the Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune (10:49 pm PST). It’s VOC for almost nine hours (!!!) before it enters Capricorn on Dec. 13 (7:31 am PST). There could be a conflict between the need to be right versus self-doubt or the willingness to entertain other points of view.

[10:05] On Dec. 15, the Moon in Capricorn makes a conjunction with Pluto at (8:04 am PST). It’s VOC for almost two hours and then enters Aquarius (9:56 am PST). The desire to be in control meets the realization that there will always be something or someone more powerful.

[10:43] The Moon in Aquarius sextiles the Sun (4:04 am PST) on Dec. 17. It is VOC for almost 8 hours (!!!) before the Moon enters Pisces (11:58 am PST). There is an opportunity to feel part of a group but only if you let yourself be who you really are.

[11:31] Fun times! Mercury turns retrograde on Dec. 12 (11:09 pm PST) at 08º29’ Capricorn and is retrograde through Jan. 1, 2024. Mercury turns retrograde on Sabian symbol, 9 Capricorn, An angel carrying a harp. This is a retrograde period for listening to what higher powers want for us.

[12:21] Mercury will move back into Sagittarius between Dec. 22, 2023 – Jan. 13, 2024, when it will enter Capricorn. Mercury will be in Capricorn until Feb. 4.

[13:23] While Mercury is retrograde, it makes the second of three squares to Neptune: Nov. 27, Dec. 26, and Jan. 8. Hold off on finalizing plans for 2024 until after Jan. 8.

[14:15] Mercury conjoins Mars during this retrograde cycle as well, on Dec. 27. Holiday travel could be rough but productivity gets a boost by the end of January.

[16:23] The Sun trines the Moon’s North Node on Dec. 14 (9:35 pm PST) at 22º57’ Sagittarius and Aries. The Sun is on the Sabian symbol, 23 Sagittarius, Immigrants entering. The Sabian symbol, 23 Aries, is A pregnant woman in light summer dress. This could be about leaving your comfort zone and conceiving of something new.

[18:34] On Dec. 16 (7:43 pm PST), the Sun squares Neptune at 22°55’ Sagittarius and Pisces on the Sabian symbols 25 Sagittarius, A chubby boy on a hobby horse and 25 Pisces, The purging of the priesthood. Eliminate anything that’s hyperbolic, hypocritical, unkind. Focus on authenticity and building confidence.

[20:07] Listener Rachel asks about transits that mirror your birth chart.

What a helpful answer about grand trines – especially about the speed of the Moon’s changes. I am looking forward to a happy new year!
