Show Notes for Episode 93 (9/13/2021)

093 | Mars Enters Libra: Swing Your Partner!

It feels like home, as April and Jen launch into a one-week episode and prepare for next week’s second annual Podathon (daily episodes and prizes coming your way)! This week: an itchy Sagittarius First Quarter Moon; the Sun heeds the siren call of dreamy Neptune and gets a boost from powerful Pluto; a contrary Venus-Saturn square demands authenticity over appearances; and Mars enters Libra, so here’s to fighting fair! Plus: mind reading, speaking French, and do-si-doing!

Next week we bring you daily episodes for our second annual Podathon! Yay!

Read a full transcript of this episode:

00:30 – Podathon is next week, beginning Monday Sep. 20! Daily episodes coming your way, and yes, there will be prizes! Leave us your 60-second voicemail question (ask us anything!) at! If you’re feeling shy and would rather type your question, send it to: April(at)bigskyastrology(dot)com

04:14 – **MOONWATCH ** This week we welcome a First Quarter Moon (FQM) at 21.16 Sagittarius (Sep.13). The Sun is conjunct Mars at the itchy, last, 29th degree of Virgo – meltdown alert! – and are working hard to take care of business. Benefit could come from Neptune’s more diffuse approach (think: meditation, music, naps).

06:26 – This FQM brings us back to Dec.14, 2020 – what was happening for you then? (Revisit Ep. 60 .) Now is the time to move ahead, but be aware that Virgo’s perfectionism and Neptune’s lack of focus could cause complications. We can also focus on 22 Gemini (the missing link in a t-square) so perhaps it would help to gather info, read, take a class. The Sabian symbol for 22 Gemini is “A barn dance,” so have some fun or try to see things from someone else’s perspective (

09:32 – As April unclenches her jaw (is Virgo season is bringing up your anxiety?), remember to focus on the things you have control over. And lend your ears to Brene Brown’s episode on anxiety – can’t hurt, might help: .

10:29 – The Sun in Virgo opposes Neptune in Pisces (Sep. 14). Set a little intention before you go to bed to have ideas and solutions revealed in your dreams. (After much searching, Jen found the dream book she was referencing! #YoureWelcome

12:36 – Mars enters Libra (Sep. 14-Oct. 31). Direct your energy toward Libran pursuits – music, art, activities that cultivate balance (martial arts, for instance), and justice and fairness!

14:07 – 1960s Addams Family reference! C’est merveilleux!

15:16 – How does Mars do in air signs?

15:59 – Mars and Venus are in mutual reception! What does that mean? And does it involve a hot air balloon?

17:22 – Authenticity is the key to empowerment: The Sun trines Pluto at 24.24 Capricorn (Sep. 16) on the Sabian symbol for 25 Virgo, “A flag at half-mast.” Which direction is the flag headed?

20:20 – Venus squares Saturn (Sep. 16) on the symbol for 8 Scorpio, “The Moon shining across a lake.” Saturn sits on 8 Aquarius, “Beautifully gowned wax figures.” This speaks to a conflict between going deep and being authentic vs. the desire to look good on the outside.

22:39 – Big thanks to donors MAUREEN BLAIR, DEBBIE ALLAN, RACHEL FLETCHER, KAREN HARTLAND, MELISSA GRBIN, SARAH JANE WILLIAMSON, and ALICE KINSEY! If you’d like, go ahead and save your contribution for next week’s Podathon! You can always read show notes and transcripts and leave comments at our site! See you next Monday!

  • re: ‘interpreting’ dream info (from someone who writes books on it) the ‘language’ of the body IS feelings and that is how she – or he… or they – attempts to communicate with you. The mind interprets… the body gives it to you straight!

    PS: love your French!

    • Jen Braun

Agreed, V! 😀 (And merci! 😉) Actually, after we recorded this episode, I remembered that a key to accurately naming your ‘dream feeling’ was to first label it: pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral. A good way to start!

      Thanks for the comment!
