When I think about befriending people whose opinions, lifestyles, or politics are abhorrent to me, some flinty part of me digs in its heels and refuses to give in, loathe to give the impression of surrender. Why do most of us find it so difficult to befriend our enemies—and why is that those with Libra prominent in their birth charts often succeed where we fail?…

The Libra New Moon is close to Jupiter, which recently entered Libra for a one-year stay. Astrologers rejoiced when Jupiter left Virgo, figuring that since Jupiter is supposed to be a “lucky” planet and Libra is the sign of relationships, everything would soon be coming up rainbows and unicorns. But anytime someone starts talking about how wonderful a transit is going to be, it makes me itchy….
“Going gently” sums up Libra’s approach to the world. It appears as elegant touches in unexpected places, moving with grace, choosing the nice shirt, setting things down carefully, coaxing the cat. It’s in the little ways of approaching life with a spirit of beauty and grace, smoothness and quiet.

Signs of the Zodiac The signs of the zodiac, usually simply referred to as signs, are by far the most recognizable symbols of astrology. They represent the characteristics of 12 archetypal personalities that are based on the zodiac (from the Greek, “circle of animals”). The zodiac is a band of 12 constellations (groups of fixed […]
As an astrologer I’ve had to learn to get inside another’s skin and see the world through their eyes. But developing a heightened awareness of others can be a difficult skill to switch off at the end of the day. When you spend too much time looking through another’s eyes, it can be all too easy to lose track of your own truth.
