We are tough with each other these days, because the world is tough, and so many of us are nobody’s children, with no soft place to turn to when we have failed or fallen. A friend with several Capricorn planets complains that today’s parents are too gentle with their children for fear of injuring their self-esteem with a harsh word. “You know how you build self-esteem?” she’s fond of saying. “You do things, and you do them the right way. Or we may fear that we’ll die without having achieved any of our goals, unknown; these Capricornian fears tell us we’ve lost sight of what makes us truly important….
Because there is nothing wishy-washy about Scorpio, Saturn is finishing its transit here in decisive fashion. “No longer this,” we think, even if we’re not sure what will fill the gaps opened by loss….
The Capricorn New Moon falls near the beginning of each calendar year. At midyear, the Capricorn Full Moon is its mirror image, the response to its call. It’s time to face the optimistic pages of those calendars and planners and compare them with your progress to date. There is still time to change your strategy—or even your resolutions.
