Remember that marriage survey?
A couple of years ago, many of you were kind enough to participate in my survey about marriage. The results of the project can be found in my article “When Will I Get Married?”, which appears in the Aug/Sep 2010 issue of The Mountain Astrologer magazine. I share the top …

Eclipses are coming! Eclipses are coming! Time to hide under the bed, batten down the hatches, buy duct tape to seal off the doors and windows? In a word, no. But we astrologers can sound a little like tabloid journalists as we breathlessly – urgently – proclaim the drama of …

Give Star Guide to Weddings this bridal season!
The air is filled with the alluring aromas of Jordan almonds, roses, and fondant: it must be wedding season! With all due modesty, may I suggest my book, Star Guide to Weddings, as the perfect gift for a jittery bride, a desultory groom, a vixenish bridesmaid, a skittish groomsman? It’s …

Eclipses in Capricorn: The Buck Stops Here
Saturn describes the universal rule that says you create your own reality. But I don’t mean to suggest that the awful things that happen to you are a function of your nasty karma or your failure to think positively enough. This may seem ironic in view of my last post… but here are a few things my colleagues are up to that I thought you might find interesting. The witty, urbane, and whimsically Canadian Matthew Currie has published the first in a series of small yet delectable e-books. This one …

Only in it for the money
Most professional astrologers have run across people who are not just skeptical of astrology, but who have a real axe to grind against astrologers. Apparently, we are money-hungry grifters who amass huge piles of dough from the gullible saps who seek our useless guidance. Yep, they’re on to us – …

Pucker up – Lemmys!
When my friend, astrologer Fern Feto Spring (calm, wise, and soulful voice of Wisestars.net) told me she’d nominated me for a Lemmy award, I didn’t know what the heck she was talking about. Then my stats log turned up a nomination from the awesome Joyce Mason (I had no idea …
